How To Get There

Getting to Seminarzentrum Rückersbach

Rückersbach is about 50km from Frankfurt am Main, easily reachable by airplane, train and car.

Venue Address: Kolpingstraße 1, 63867 Johannesberg (In Google Maps)

Please consider offsetting your travel’s co2 emissions, eg. with atmosfair.org.

Arriving by plane

Next airport: Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

When travelling by plane you will arrive at Frankfurt Airport. From there you can continue via train to Aschaffenburg. The quickest connection is taking the ICE or IC leaving hourly at 37 minutes past the hour (around 19 Euros). This will take you to Aschaffenburg in 45 minutes without changing trains (timetable and reservation in English and German).

You will need to take a taxi from the train station Aschaffenburg (see “arriving by train”).

A cab to Rückersbach from the airport will cost you around €80 and take 45min, so if you’re not alone that might make sense too. The cab drivers won’t know the place so make sure you have the address. They have GPS…

Arriving by train

Point you car’s navigator to: Kolpingstraße 1, 63867 Johannesberg (Google Maps)

Maybe you can give somebody a lift and travel together?

  1. Those of us arriving in Frankfurt on 21rst should meet up for dinner and drinks. Can someone suggest a central enough place and time, say from around 6pm onwards?

  2. I’m arriving on the redeye on Thursday, and hoping to spend some of the day at the Stadel Museum.

Last year, Nancy and I had a rather interesting lunch at http://www.apfelwein-wagner.com/htdocs/english/index_d.htm, which might be a suitable place to start the evening. (Totally unsuitable for vegetarians, but pork heaven). Easy to get to by train. There are other nice restaurants along that street as well – we had a good dinner at Schweizer’s on the way home from p4a12.

  3. I haven’t been there but it looks good. Just down the road from work too.

  4. For those of you reading this but didn’t see on twitter, we are meeting at Apfelwein Wagner (see link in comment from Ellen) at 18:30.
